Kjellberg Finsterwalde - Electrodes since 1923

The Kjellberg Finsterwalde Elektroden und Zusatzwerkstoffe GmbH is one of Europe's oldest electrode manufacturers. The company with many years of tradition was founded in 1922 as Kjellberg Elektro-Maschinen GmbH and named after Oscar Kjellberg, the inventor of the coated rod electrode. His intention was to produce welding generators which are suitable for Kjellberg welding electrodes. Already one year later, the production of welding electrodes started in Finsterwalde. Today, the Kjellberg Finsterwalde Elektroden und Zusatzwerkstoffe GmbH  has its production site in Massen in one of Europe's latest electrode factories.

The term quality means much more to us than just first-class quality welding electrodes. We attach great importance to the complete quality management, from the product development and manufacture to the customer, therefore we are certified according to EN ISO 9001. We do not consider quality as perfectionism or an end in itself, but it should always be aimed at our customers' expectations.
 
With the help of the Kjellberg quality management our motivated employees are committed to satisfy our customers' high demands. In order to keep these high standards we have built up a quality management system which is certified by Det Norske Veritas, one of the biggest international classification societies. 
 
The quality management starts with our raw-material suppliers, includes inspections during the manufacture and also the release of the finished products. We have determined tolerance limits for the raw materials we use and we demand the compliance of these limits from our suppliers by contract. All incoming goods are thoroughly checked and the results are recorded. 
 
Likewise, the production processes and connected quality inspections are subject to strict controls. Almost all our rod electrodes have been approved by national or international supervising organisations and are therefore subject to regular examinations.
